Your photos stay on your server. We collect nothing.

Data Not Collected
MirusCloud does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on developer-owned servers. Your photos are sent exclusively to the server URL you configure — a server you own.
MirusCloud is a self-hosted photo and video backup app. When you use MirusCloud, your photos are uploaded to a server that you own and operate. They are never sent to MIRUSoft or any third party.
The developer — Mirusoft Consultancy Private Limited — has no access to your files, your server, or any personal information. MirusCloud contains no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting services, and no advertising frameworks.
MirusCloud stores the following data locally on your iPhone only. This data never leaves your device except to communicate with your own server.
| Data | Purpose | Shared? |
|---|---|---|
| Server URL | Know where to upload your files | Only to your server |
| Login tokens (JWT) | Authenticate with your server | Only to your server |
| Sync preferences | Wi-Fi-only, eviction settings, stopped flag | Never |
| Upload progress | Resume interrupted uploads | Never |
| Photo thumbnails | Display library grid without re-downloading | Never |
| Asset sync status | Track which photos have been backed up | Never |
Why we need access
MirusCloud requests access to your photo library for the sole purpose of reading photos and videos to back them up to your server. No photo data is ever sent to MIRUSoft or any third party.
Where photos go
Photos and videos are transmitted only to the server URL you configure in the app. You own that server. MIRUSoft has no access to it.
What is read
MirusCloud reads the original full-resolution file of each photo or video, computes a SHA-256 hash for deduplication, and uploads the file. Photo metadata (creation date, pixel dimensions, GPS EXIF if present) is also stored on your server as part of the backup record.
Bonjour / mDNS discovery
MirusCloud uses Apple's Bonjour protocol to discover a MirusCloud server on your local network. This allows faster uploads over Wi-Fi without going through the internet. The discovery process is entirely local — no data leaves your network.
What is sent on the local network
When a local server is found, photo uploads travel directly from your iPhone to your server over your home/office network. Nothing is logged or stored by MIRUSoft.
MirusCloud contains no third-party SDKs, no analytics frameworks (Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.), no crash-reporting services (Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.), and no advertising libraries (Google Ads, Meta Audience Network, etc.).
The only network requests the app makes are to: (1) the server URL you configure, and (2) Apple-owned infrastructure (App Store, iCloud tokens) as a normal part of iOS operation.
MirusCloud does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Because the app collects no personal data at all, it presents no specific privacy risk to users of any age. The app is rated 4+ on the App Store.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at https://mirusoft.in/miruscloud-privacy with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
